Introduction To Cylinder Unit For Fire Extinguishing Agent
◆ The cylinder unit for fire extinguishing agent is composed of a storage steel cylinder and a container valve (including full drain devices). The cylinder unit is filled with NOVEC1230 fire extinguishing agent.
working Principle
The agent is stored in a liquid form in a steel cylinder, pressurized with nitrogen to 360 PSI (27.92 bar gauge) at 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). The cylinder unit assembly is equipped with a safety burst valve that meets DOT requirements. Each cylinder has a liquid level indicator to help determine the remaining medicine. When the cylinder valve assembly is not connected to the pipes of the system, a safety cap must be installed at the outlet of the discharge valve. If the cylinder discharges accidentally, the failure to install the safety cap may cause serious personal injury, death, or property damage.
