Product Introduction

◆ KinFire air driven DIFFS system is based on Developed and designed by CAP437 and CNOOC enterprise standard Q/BZH11102.08-2021. It is suitable for new NUIs, offshore wind power substations, or other installations with limited power or pump capacity. ◆ The KinFire air-driven DIFFS system provides durable and reliable equipment thanks to its robust design. All components can be supplied within a container, making the system easy to install and maintain, and protecting it from marine environmental conditions. The deck integrated fire protection system should have three starting methods: fully automatic start, manual electrical start, and manual mechanical emergency start.

Features

◆ This system is a complete, independent, integrated device with a simple and quick installation process, capable of extinguishing fires within seconds. Its operating logic is extremely simplified, allowing users to easily operate it without specialized training. When the system is operational, rescue operations can be carried out simultaneously from a helicopter. The system's proportioning mixer can precisely mix foam into water at a ratio of 1% or 3%, with the mixing ratio deviation fully complying with the relevant requirements of NFPA 11 standards.

Materials

◆ The water pipeline adopts standard SS316 Material
◆ Options: Cu-Ni90/10, super duplex, titanium Gr.2, etc., can be selected according to requirements.

Main components

The drive cylinder assembly consists of a storage cylinder, cylinder head valve, pressure gauge, pressure switch (pressure sensor), safety relief device, and electromagnetic drive unit (with manual start handle and safety pin). The starter cylinder stores the starting gas and provides the pneumatic power for system operation. The drive cylinder assembly has two starting modes: automatic and emergency operation. Automatic start is controlled by the F&G system; the electromagnetic drive unit actuates, opening the drive cylinder assembly for automatic start. If automatic start fails, a mechanical emergency operation is required. Remove the safety pin on the electromagnetic drive unit and press the manual start handle to open the drive cylinder assembly for emergency start.
2. High-Pressure Hoses
The high-pressure hose is installed between the container valve and the liquid flow check valve, delivering nitrogen to the starting pipeline. The inner layer of the high-pressure hose is stainless steel corrugated tubing, with an outer layer of stainless steel braided mesh. This buffers the impact force during nitrogen release. 3. Nitrogen Drive Line
The nitrogen drive line is installed on the upper part of the cylinder rack, connecting to all storage cylinders via high-pressure hoses and to the freshwater tank via a pressure reducing valve. The nitrogen drive line requires an automatic pressure regulating valve, pressure gauge, pressure switch, and check valve, etc. 4. Pressure Switch
The pressure switch is installed on the start-up line and the protection line. When nitrogen or foam mixture passes through this section of the pipeline, the switch activates, sending a signal back to the central control unit. The material is 316SS, and the pressure switch is equipped with a gauge valve. 5. Start-up Control Line and Fittings
The start-up control line consists of instrument pipes, tee fittings, and compression fittings. The fittings on the gas start-up line are made of SS316. 6. Pressure Reducing Valve
The pressure reducing valve is made of SS316 and its function is to reduce the nitrogen pressure from 55 bar to the normal system operating pressure of 9 bar, ensuring system pressure stability. 7. Pressure Gauge
The pressure gauge is made of SS316 stainless steel, with an accuracy of 1.5 grade and a dial diameter of 100mm. 8. Freshwater Storage Tank
The freshwater storage tank is made of carbon steel, coated with red epoxy anti-corrosion paint, with a capacity of 15m³ (final capacity subject to system calculation). The tank is equipped with one air inlet (2"), one water outlet (4"), one liquid filling port with a filter (2"), one vent valve (2"), one spare interface (2"), and a manhole. The freshwater pressure tank is equipped with a pressure gauge, safety valve, visual level gauge, and level switch.
9. Basket Filter
Basket filters are installed at both the inlet and outlet of the freshwater tank. The material is SS316 to ensure that impurities in the fire-fighting water do not clog the system sprinkler heads.
10. Sprinkler Valve
The sprinkler valve is located downstream of the freshwater pressure tank to control the flow of freshwater into the foam proportioning device. The sprinkler valve should have three opening methods: automatic, manual electric start, and manual mechanical start. The material is [missing information - likely a specific material]. SS316, voltage AC220V.
11. Foam Proportioning Mixer
The foam proportioning mixer is a Venturi-type pressure foam proportioning device, which must be matched with a foam tank. The mixing ratio is 97 water: 3 foam, that is, the outlet of the device is 3% foam mixture. The design flow rate and design pressure of the device are determined by the seller. The foam proportioning device is made of AISI316, bronze, etc.
12. Foam Storage Tank
The DIFF system must be equipped with its own foam tank and provide sufficient foam concentrate. The foam concentrate must use "B" grade foam as specified in CAP437; the capacity of the foam tank is 500L (based on the system's calculated usage), which should meet the maximum foam usage required for a single fire on the helicopter deck. The foam tank is equipped with a level gauge and level sensor. The foam tank is made of 316 stainless steel.
13. Local Control Panel
The deck integrated fire protection system is equipped with a local control panel, which is based on PLC. Programming is required to meet the functions of fully automatic start-up and manual electrical start-up, as well as switching functions. When the system is in automatic mode, the platform only provides a "fire confirmation" signal; the remaining fire extinguishing actions are completed autonomously and automatically by the local control panel. The local control panel needs to be equipped with a manual/automatic transfer switch, a nitrogen main cylinder/standby cylinder transfer switch, a manual start button, status display, fault alarm, pressure switch signal (pressure sensor signal), etc. The signals from the local control panel of the deck integrated fire protection system need to be transmitted to the central control fire control panel (inputting signals to the central control and receiving signals output from the central control) to meet the functions of remote monitoring and operation.
14. Junction Box
Installed inside the container, made of SS316, explosion-proof and protection rating Exd II BT4 & IP66, with terminal blocks installed inside.
15. Sprinkler Head
Matre pop-up sprinkler head, made of AISI316, horizontal spray, minimum working pressure of 4 bar, coverage distance of 7m horizontally and approximately vertically. 7m.
16. Container
The container is made of Q235B carbon steel, 3mm thick, with fixed louvers on the doors. The container adopts ocean-going container standards (non-standard dimensions), with the body painted red marine triple-coated anti-corrosion paint and coated with "DIFF System Fire Extinguishing Device". An instruction sign is installed on the door. The container contains explosion-proof LED lights, explosion-proof exhaust fans and their matching explosion-proof switches, and explosion-proof stuffing boxes. Lifting lugs are installed on the top of the container, and flaw detection reports are provided for the welded joints. Drainage outlets are located at the bottom of the container, with pre-embedded steel cylinders and pipes to the fixed frame to protect the entire nitrogen cylinder group (cylinders, cylinder head valves, instruments, gas control pipeline solenoid valves, etc.), the sprinkler valves on the water lines, and other vulnerable parts, to prevent damage from wind, rain, sun, and salt spray corrosion, ensuring the system can be put into operation at any time within its design life.
